Very nice kennel. Would have given it 5 stars, but it arrived damaged (an insignificant corner piece had broken off in transport I suspect), most likely due to poor packaging and handling. Easy to assemble and quite functional.Overall this is a sturdy crate. Would have been easy to assemble if they would have punched out the hardware holes properly. Many of the holes that the bolt needs to go through to attach the upper to lower have were not punched out. Also be aware (which they state) that this is not ready to be used for air travel as the nuts are plastic. Read airline requirements. Also note if you by the air travel kit, there is not enough hardware for all the connection points of the larger crate. So the outside of the product the box was completely intact minus one small spot in the left lower corner where the leg poked through however upon removing the top and the bottom apart there was several scratches on the inside top of the cage and a few on the bottom of the cage so I was disappointed to see a brand new cage already sketched up I would have returned it however our flight is next week and it’s not exactly easy to get a cage of this size in a timely manner however it did arrive in a timely manner I will say that much it just didn’t arrive looking new as I would expect it to look. There are expectations when you buy a new product that it’ll come in perfect that was not the case with all the scratches to the cage and I highly doubt the manufacturer will give me a discount because he will say I will be able to return it unfortunately I can’t return it I fly out to Amsterdam on Wednesday as I said previously it’s not easy to get a cage of this size here in a timely manner even if you are Amazon prime and the product is prime 700 series cageSuper easy to put together. This is my lab's home crate, so I don't have any experience with traveling with it. Very sturdy. Would recommend!I had to buy 3 kennels in the XXXL size because you cannot rest assured they will arrive. At size XXXL they jump up in price and, I imagine, due to the huge size they present some sort of problem to shipping. Now this makes no sense to me as a couch will arrive or a fridge with no problems. However, when it comes to dog crates for air travel - they like to test your patience and risk your flight plans.Let me be clear that I was buying this for air travel internationally. If I was buying this as a crate for home I would have been happy. But I wouldnt have been as happy as if I had bought the SportPet one - because the truth is that’s a much better kennel. However, I wouldn’t have known that - so I would have been happy. The reason I know is because I had to buy 3 XXXL crates after ordering my first which took a week past due to not arrive and then was just cancelled. This one was the safety bet - Prime delivery and sold by Amazon. It too was 5 days late. So what I’m saying is - if you have travel plans that involve a XXXL crate. Make sure you start your purchase with 4 weeks to spare at least. Don’t count on doing it 14 days before - you may well end up crate-less and not be able to fly. It may arrive damaged! It may be cancelled! It may take 20 days to arrive. I bought 3 and only one made it in time. The SportPet.The reason the sportpet wins is because: 1, it comes with the metal bolts - this one doesn’t and you have to have them. 2, it has a far superior door latch. 3, it has detachable wheels and these are a life savior in the terminal/cargo depot/car park. They don’t fly with them but they are brilliant for this size of crate. 4, it’s stronger. Marginally. You can just tell that the sport pet is a better product, better made.So - my advice is - if you are looking for a home kennel/crate and this is on sale at a reasonable price that isn’t near the insane $400 - get it. It’s fine. However, if you are flying internationally - don’t. Get the sportpet and don’t even consider this.I have moved my dog from the US to Dublin and to London. Tried and tested and bought both crates.I like this product. I use it to transport my puppy. It’s easy to put together and it’s lightweight. It’s very durable.I like the sturdiness and strengthThis is a terrific kennel for air travel. We bought the extra-large Vari Kennel 21554 for our Golden Doodle (poodle/golden retriever mix) to travel on Air Canada in the baggage compartment. She's only sixty pounds but she's tall so we had to go up to this size. It was a great fit, slightly roomy as expected. The described measurements of 47" x 27" x 30" are accurate. We bought the Petmate 290300 Kennel Travel Kit as well since some airlines want the all-metal bolts to secure the top and bottom halves of the kennel and this kennel only comes with a plastic/metal combo bolt. We also bought 2 large Petmate Kennel bowls which fit perfectly on the door. The kennel is well made, secure and easy to assemble. It fit Air Canada's travel kennel criteria perfectly and we had no issues at all for our pet's trip. It's expensive but it provides a stress-free trip It's worth the purchase price. It’s easy to assemble, and you’ll get a great forearm workout assembling this pet house. It made the overseas travel from Canada to Lithuania with ease. My only concern (unfounded) is the handle on the top of the crate. It doesn’t seem to be overly sturdy and my pup only weighs 23lbs, so I can’t imagine anyone using the handle for a larger breed. Although, I’m assuming the manufacturer intended for the handle to only “handle” the weight of the crate itself with ease (while moving the crate while empty).El material se siente resistente. I purchased this because I had to ship my new cat by plane and they required that you have a crate that meets the IATA requirements even though my cat was only flying domestically. I was very happy to have purchased this kennel. It was very sturdy and they included additional nuts and bolts with the kennel which is great because these tend to get lost.Muy bien esta jaula. Es ligera, pero resistente, los tornillos ayudan a que permanezca como debe. La reja muy bien, cierra como debe. Cuesta un poquito de trabajo ponerle candado, pero no es estrictamente necesario, porque mientras nadie la abra a propósito, la puerta permanece en su lugar. Hizo el viaje sin daño alguno (fueron como 8 horas en total, entre traslado en camioneta a aeropuerto, viaje en el avión y luego viaje en camión).
